Family Impact Day in Puebla

Mission Diaries Logo small white.jpgA few weeks ago the church in Puebla, Mexico, decided to have a special “Family Day” service. The purpose was for each disciple to spend the day and do something of spiritual impact with their family.

Francisco and FamilyFrancisco Reyes (left), who is the church’s administrator, decided to do something great. He planned a lunch and a house church service, and he invited both his and his wife’s families. Stepping out on faith, they trusted that all the relatives they invited would attend. The outcome was fantastic: twenty relatives came to their house church service!

Francisco shared a short Bible study, however the highllight was that he was also able to resolve several differences with some of the family members. At the end of the short service, there were tears and hugs and a more unified family. Several relatives decided to begin studying the Bible!

Church Profiles: Monterrey (Mexico)

Mission Diaries Logo small white.jpg“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:3-6)

In a few weeks the Los Angeles Church will once again glorify God with its annual Missions Contributions. Their sacrifice will help our brothers and sisters in Mexico and Central America as they continue to take the gospel of Christ to their people. As in previous years, the missions contribution is targeted to meet the needs of specific congregations.

Mexico Churches MapIn Mexico, MCA Missions provides direct financial support to four large congregations: Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey, and Puebla (see the attached map.) These four churches, in turn, provide spiritual and other material support to other churches in their geographic areas. We also support Gilberto and Angelica Tello who lead the church in Cancun. We want you to know more about these churches. Here is an update from Monterrey…
